Castleman's disease mimicking neoplasia: a case report with review of literature

Indian J Chest Dis Allied Sci. 1997 Jul-Sep;39(3):193-6.

Abstract

Castleman's disease is an unusual entity which may at times mimic malignancy but is entirely benign in nature. It is topical as it has been noted to occur with AIDS and Kaposi's sarcoma. We report an interesting case with a mediastinal mass which was thought to be neoplastic but turned out to be Castleman's disease on histopathology.
