Abstract

The synthesis, antibacterial activity and oral absorption of 3-(1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)thiomethylthio-3-cephem-4-carboxyli c acids with various C-7 side chains (2) are described. The (1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)thiomethylthio C-3 side chain was found to be an effective substituent for good oral absorption of cephalosporins with some C-7 side chains.
