[Arcuate keratotomy for the treatment of corneal astigmatism after intraocular lens implantation]

Abstract

Arcuate keratotomy was performed for 21 eyes of persistent corneal astigmatism > 2.25D over 6 months after intraocular lens implantation. The mean corneal astigmatism 1 day and 6 months after the procedure was 0.82D and 1.18D respectively, and the visual acuity improved significantly. The indications, manipulations, efficacy, and complications of the operation were discussed.
