Use of glue to avoid formation of perfused recesses in aortic allograft implantation

Ann Thorac Surg. 1994 Feb;57(2):494-5. doi: 10.1016/0003-4975(94)91034-0.

Abstract

Diagnosis of perfused recesses between the native aortic wall and implanted aortic allograft by Doppler echocardiography is an emerging problem. However, incidence and size of perfused recesses can be reduced by routine application of fibrin glue during the allograft implantation procedure.
