Abstract

In spite of being a rare form of neoplasia, melanoma is the ones which occur most frequently in pregnancy. Pregnancy does not seem to aggravate the prognosis. However, the authors present the case of a woman suffering from melanoma, in which the intercurrence of pregnancy led to the development of the disease. After 32 weeks of pregnancy a living foetus was born without any symptoms of the disease, thus proving the low incidence of foetal metastatic lesions.
