Surgical resection of cranial base meningiomas

Abstract

This article outlines strategies for the surgical management of skull base meningiomas, including preoperative studies, general techniques of tumor resection, complications, postoperative management, follow-up, and nonsurgical modalities of treatment. The conventional and skull base surgical approaches are compared for meningiomas in specific skull base locations.
