Eosinophilic pustular folliculitis and B-cell chronic lymphatic leukaemia

Dermatology. 1994:189 Suppl 2:58-9. doi: 10.1159/000246994.

Abstract

Background: The major problem of eosinophilic pustular folliculitis (EPF) is its generally unknown aetiology.

Objective and methods: The purpose of this case report is to advise a thorough medical investigation of all patients with EPF.

Results: The case of EPF presented seems to be associated with a chronic B-cell lymphatic leukaemia.

Conclusion: Before regarding EPF as an idiopathic disease of unknown aetiology a thorough immunologic and haematologic investigation has to be advocated.
