Socrative as a tool for increasing students learning

Abstract

Introduction: The integration of new technologies in the classrooms opens new possibilities for the teaching and learning process. Technologies such as student response system (Clicker). The benefits of using a student feedback system are highlighted in literature.

Aim: In this study, our primary objective is to investigate the effect of Socrative Free application with combination of smartphones on student learning performance.

Methods: We provide the results of a survey conducted among 119 students of the university of medicine of Tunis who used the Socrative in an orthopedics' module.

Results: The findings of our study reveal that collaborative learning and engagement of student in the class improves student learning performance with a mean score of 4.12/5 and active role with a mean score of 3.98/5.

Conclusion: Interactivity and instant feedback are the two main factors that strengthen this technology.
