Abstract

  1. Covid-19 cases are frequent in elderly patients admitted to acute no-Covid-19 units

  2. Healthcare personnel is at high risk to present coronavirus infection

  3. Hospital transmission of Covid-19 can be frequent in older individuals

  4. Maximum efforts should be given to screen patients and staff even if asymptomatic

  5. Prevention is very important for Covid-19 severe prognosis in older patients
