Of 3914 clinically confirmed epileptic patients, 68.37% had an abnormal EEG characterized by major general or focal discharges. 50.56% of 3814 suspected epileptic patients exhibited high levels of abnormal discharge and 452 non-epileptic patients also exhibited abnormalities. Such discharges also occurred in 671 patients suspected of other neurological disorders.
