Adsorbed emulsion droplets: capping agents for in situ heterogeneous engineering of particle surfaces

Chem Commun (Camb). 2013 Dec 21;49(98):11563-5. doi: 10.1039/c3cc47509c.

Abstract

It is found that emulsion droplets could adsorb onto particle (Cu2O) surfaces to form interfacial nanodroplets. The emulsion droplets capped domains on surfaces are protected, while the uncapped domains are exposed, thus allowing direct heterogeneous surface engineering in particle suspension.
