Exacerbation of oesophageal stenosis by accidental ingestion of tape

Abstract

We report an exacerbation of congenital oesophageal stenosis caused by accidental ingestion of tape that had been placed on a postoperative scar of the right thumb. Treatment by tape fixation in infants with gastrointestinal disease should be carefully monitored.
