Abstract
Hepatitis C virus infection is a widespread condition, affecting about 170 million people worldwide. It is associated with the progression to cirrhosis, hepatic decompensation, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Therefore, antiviral treatment appears to be recommended for patients infected with HCV. This article reviewed recent evidence on antiviral therapy for HCV-infected patients.
