Intubation conditions were considered in 75 patients undergoing gynecologic surgery following intravenous administration of suxamethonium (1 mg/kg-1) or sequence atracurium (0,5 mg/kg-1)-thiopentone. A statistically significant difference of intubation depth of neuromuscular blockade was found between the groups, but the tracheal intubation was performed within 60 sec following the intravenous injection of the two muscle relaxants in all patients. Intubating conditions were scored as excellent in 67 cases, good in 5 cases and poor in 3 cases. Cardiovascular stability was relieved.
