Objective: To analyze the prognosis of lymphoplasmacytoid lymphoma.
Methods: The prognosis of 41 cases of lymphoplasmacytoid lymphoma in long-term follow-up were analyzed.
Results: The median survival was 39.4 months. The survival durations were significantly shorter in patients in clinical stage III , IV (P < 0.01), with B-symptoms (P < 0.05), and with bone marrow and extranodal involvements (P < 0.01). The tumor-free survival in patients received comprehensive treatment was longer than in those received chemotherapy alone (P < 0.05), but the overall survival durations between the two groups had no difference.
Conclusion: No therapeutic benefit was obtained from actively overtreatment for lymphoplasmacytoid lymphoma.
