The results of ultrasonic investigations (n = 15,822) and treatment of 7778 patients treated in the urological clinic of 1. M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy in 1985-1998. Functional ultrasonic diagnosis serves the basis for a new line in urology--application of ultrasonic methods with various pharmacological tests to improve the diagnosis and assess functional status of the kidneys and urinary tracts.
